in situ interventions connected to a personal archive

A reoccurring theme in my work is the interplay between archiving and the ephemeral nature of images.
In recent years, I returned to my childhood home to create a studio and an artist-run space where I initiated exhibitions with other artists. This journey has been a pivotal part of my artistic development.
I continue my interventions outside the studio. In a site specific context, I work with the materials that I find and people I meet. An intervention in a public space can be seen as my encounter with a social or natural landscape.
In this open studio, I engage with the area by interweaving personal elements into a local history. I look at the ongoing interaction beween nature and mankind, and want to initiate a dialogue, not only by registrating this dynamic but by playing an active role with performative elements.
Through photography and video, I document these temporary collaborations with my surroundings.
